I had a prolapsed L5/S1 disc last year. I’ve been fit & active my whole life, so the instantaneous excruciating pain & immobility was frightening. The pain was severe, in my back but also my left leg due to sciatica. I could barely move, sleep, walk or sit. Thankfully I was seen by Steve who recommend a nerve root block. The procedure went really smoothly. Due to the local anaesthetic, I barely noticed anything happening. Steve and his team put me at ease and I really felt like I was in safe hands. After the procedure, I got off the couch and the pain relief was immediate. It was like someone had turned off the switch of agonising pain, which was the most wonderful feeling. Steve’s expert nerve root block allowed me to get back to swimming later that same week and back to work 2 weeks later. I am eternally grateful to Steve for being the main factor in my speedy recovery and I would highly recommend him to anyone with a similar problem.

He explained the procedure in simple terms and stressed its urgency without being pushy. I owe him a great debt as without his skilful work I would not have been able to return home for Christmas with my family or function as required to get back to work in the new year. This is not something that can be measured on a scale of 1-10. Please ensure he receives this feedback.
